Eric Fisher becomes 2nd Michigan high school player to go No. 1 in NFL Draft since 1990

Eric Fisher became the second player from a Michigan high school since 1990 to be the No. 1 pick of the NFL Draft Thursday in New York City.

Fisher, a 6-foot-7, 306-pound tackle from Stoney Creek (Rochester Hills, Mich.), joined Jake Long, from Lapeer East (Mich.), as the only Michigan top picks in the last 23 years. Long was the No. 1 pick of the 2008 draft by the Miami Dolphins.

California has the most No. 1 selections in that time with four, followed by Ohio with three. Here is a look at the states with No. 1 picks since that time.
