Freshman
Armand Hill of
West Mifflin is making a name for himself quickly in Pennsylvania high school football. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound running back piled up 495 yards and five touchdowns Friday night in a 42-7 win over Hopewell (Aliquippa).
Hill came out of nowhere last week to run for 313 yards and five scores in a 57-13 win over Quaker Valley (Leetsdale), giving him totals of 808 yards and 10 TDs in the last two games. He was only added to his team's MaxPreps roster in mid-September.
There are varying reports on Friday night's totals. The
TribLIVE High School Sports Network, among others, is putting Hill's rushing yardage at 495. Regardless of where it falls between 495 and 499, that's a monster outing for any running back.
West Mifflin (5-4) and its new freshman star close out the regular season next week at South Park.
