Each week during the season (regular and post), there will be a fan-generated contest to tab weekly winners. Each winner receives an award patch for their varsity jacket and a digital badge (below) on their MaxPreps player page.
How does it work? Nominees are selected from statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may request their free account here. Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll. Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners (2 per week) are announced the next day along with the next week's nominees.
Participants may vote as many times as they want. It's a competition.

Week 3 Ohio High Shool Athletes of the Week
* Cameron Blair & Dante Tucci, Sandy Valley (Magnolia) FootballTandem
came up huge in a 50-29 win over Tuscarawas Valley. Blair, a sophomore
quarterback, completed 23-of-34 passes for 362 yards and six touchdowns.
Through three games he’s tossed 12 TDs and zero interceptions. Tucci, a
senior receiver, caught nine passes for 210 yards and four touchdowns.
Week 4 Ohio High Shool Athlete of the Week Nominees
* Grant Baughman, Northwest (Canal Fulton) Boys Soccer
Senior forward had a huge week with 10 goals and five assists in wins over Manchester. Fairless and Tuslaw. Had five goals and an assist against Manchester and four goals and three assists against Tuslaw.
* Dylan Huff, Crestview (Columbiana) Football
Senior receiver accounted for six touchdowns in his debut at quarterback. Carried the ball 11 times for 269 yards and five touchdowns, scored a 2-point conversion and completed 4-of-6 passes for 33 yards and a touchdown in a 63-21 win over Warren JFK.
2018 Ohio High School Football Statewide Stat Leaders
* Kellee Applegate, Lordstown (Warren) Volleyball
Senior middle hitter and captain had 120 kills and 47 digs in wins over Badger, Grand Valley, Chalker and Bloomfield.
* Carley Campo, Crestview (Ashland) Girls Soccer
Junior forward had a hat trick (three goals) in a 3-1 win over Loudonville that improved the Cougars to 8-0. She has 17 goals and six assists on the season.
2018 Ohio High School Volleyball Statewide Stat Leaders
* Kieran Place, Zane Trace (Chillicothe) Football
Senior defensive end had eight tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-loss and five sacks in a 17-0 shutout of Westfall.
* Maddie Trejo, Wauseon Volleyball
Senior captain had 179 assists and 80 digs as the Indians went 3-1 against Rossford, Delta, Holgate and Defiance.
2018 Ohio High School Boys Soccer Statewide Stat Leaders
* Chase Franken, Columbiana FootballJunior receiver caught five passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-14 win over Leetonia. Has 21 receptions for 589 yards and six touchdowns through four games.
* Emma Ludwig, East Liverpool VolleyballJunior middle hitter and captain had 16 blocks and 12 kills in a 3-1 win over previously unbeaten and state-ranked Columbiana Crestview.
* Andrew Arnold, Coventry (Akron) FootballSenior quarterback completed 13-of-19 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns and carried the ball eight times for 40 yards and a touchdown in a 41-35 win over Cloverleaf.

Sophomore had hat-tricks (three goals) in wins over Washington Courthouse, Piketon and Logan Elm.
* Gio Thomas, Washington (Washington Courthouse) FootballSophomore quarterback completed 20-of-34 passes for 403 yards and six touchdowns in a 58-42 win over Blanchester.

week after throwing four six touchdowns in a win over Tolsia (WV), the
senior quarterback threw for four more, including the game-winner to
Gavin Hunt with 38 seconds left, in a 35-31 win over Athens.
* Davion Daniels, Hubbard FootballSenior
quarterback carried the ball 23 times for 223 yards and three
touchdowns and completed 9-of-10 passes for 116 yards and three
touchdowns in a 48-32 win over Girard.
