Levonta Taylor committed to Florida State on Friday, picking the Seminoles over Virginia and a slew of other offers.
Taylor, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback, is the No. 2 player nationally at his position,
according to 247Sports. His decision to pick the Seminoles comes as no surprise; his
247Crystal Ball was 86 percent in favor of him landing at Florida State.
He is the second five-star recruit in the class of 2016 to commit to Florida State, joining quarterback
Malik Henry.
Taylor is the latest Tidewater-area standout to spurn in-state programs in favor of heading to Tallahassee, following in the footsteps of E.J. Manuel, Derrick Nnadi and most recently, Josh Sweat.
