A slew of upsets led to major changes in this week's Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Last week's No. 4 team, St. Joseph Regional was stunned by rival Don Bosco Prep in a Thanksgiving Day game and as a result, falls to No. 13. It will play Pope John XXIII on Saturday for a Non-Public Group III state title.
Dominant wins, coupled with some early struggles by DeSoto, allowed Allen and St. John Bosco to rise to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. Both have difficult paths to state titles but have looked dominant for most of the season.
The remaining weeks of playoff football should continue to affect the rankings greatly.
