California regularly dominates the MaxPreps Top 25 national softball rankings, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the teams from the Golden State comprise over 25 percent of the MaxPreps Top 100 softball dynasties list, headed by Norco at the top.
The softball dynasty rankings are compiled for the past 10 active seasons (not including 2020 due to the pandemic) with the yearly MaxPreps computer ratings aggregated over the 10 seasons to come up with an overall rating.
Norco is the overwhelming leader, outdistancing second-place Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, Miss.) by over 38 points and third-place Deer Park (Texas) by 61 points. Norco has finished No. 1 in the MaxPreps computer ratings three times since 2011 and has finished in the top 10 a total of seven times.
California schools account for 28 of the Top 100. Texas is second with 16 teams while Florida has 10 and Louisiana seven. Schools are listed with their overall dynasty ranking.
Norco heads the MaxPreps softball dynasty rankings as the top program over the past decade.
