Video: Quarterback throws touchdown pass to himselfEastside Catholic's Zach Lewis pulls off remarkable touchdown play.Zach Lewis is the quarterback of the future for Washington's top team.
The 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore for
Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.) backs up
Harley Kirsch (2,068 yards, 20 touchdowns) for the 7-0 Crusaders and often enters to run the ball out of the wildcat formation. He has 197 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
On this sequence however, Lewis played quarterback, receiver
and running back while scoring one of the more amazing touchdowns of the 2015 season.
Lewis fired a ball off an opponent's helmet 10-yards down field, caught the ricochet then somehow evaded a half-dozen would-be tacklers to get into the end zone.
The sequence had onlookers doubled over in both amazement and laughter.
Lewis gets credit for not only a touchdown pass, but touchdown catch, one of the most unlikely scenarios in the game.
