The prized cornerback from
South Grand Prairie (Texas) pledged to Ohio State at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio Texas on Saturday.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound playmaker picked the Ohio State over Florida State, Oklahoma and Stanford, among others. Okudah is regarded as the top corner and seventh overall recruit in the country according to 247Sports.
He made his announcement on the live NBC broadcast in the fourth quarter, making him the 10th player in the game to be committed to the Buckeyes. Okudah did his homework for sure. He is the third recruit from the state of Texas to commit to the Buckeyes.
Okudah posted 43 tackles, 795 total yards and three touchdowns in willing the Warriors to the opening round of the Texas Conference 6A D1 playoffs this season.
Okudah has the rare ability to play safety or cornerback - and the versatile product should fit perfectly with the Buckeyes.
