Wednesday was the first day of classes at brand new
Walnut Grove High School (Prosper, Texas) and based on pictures that have filtered out via social media, it's great to be a Walnut Grove Wildcat.
Roughly 40 miles north of Dallas, the school's facilities are top notch. There is a mall-style food court, a 2,200-seat arena that would make most small colleges envious and an indoor practice facility for football. See it all below.

It doesn't get much better than this as far as high school basketball gyms go. (Photo via @txfblife)
There are no seniors at Walnut Grove for the 2022-23 school year and the athletic teams will play independent schedules.
Prosper is a rapidly-emerging district with
Prosper High School opening in 2009,
Rock Hill (Frisco) opening in 2020, Walnut Grove opening this fall and Richland scheduled to open in 2025.
The Walnut Grove football team opens its season Aug. 25 vs.
Malvern (Ark.) at Ouachita Baptist University. The first home game is Aug. 31 vs.
Gunter.
