Ultimate Highlights: Brevin White
Recent Princeton commit will play for his third high school team in four years. One of the nation's top quarterbacks
Brevin White has kept many guessing throughout his high school football career.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound incoming senior to
Paraclete (Lancaster, Calif.) made another surprising move earlier this week when he announced on Twitter that he would be attending Princeton University in 2018.
Few get acceptance into the prestigious Ivy League school, which boasts former Presidents James Madison and Woodrow Wilson and former First Lady Michelle Obama as alums.
But a football factory, Princeton is not.
White, ranked the 11th-rated pro-style quarterback in the country by 247Sports, picked the Tigers over 10 FBS schools that offered him scholarships, including Tennessee, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Utah and Auburn.
Princeton does not offer athletic scholarships.
White thanked God, his parents, friends, family, coaches and teammates for helping him land to such a prestigious place.
"I get to fulfill my dream of playing college football while getting to be at one of the best universities in the world," White tweeted.
White played at Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.) one season and Chaminade (West Hills, Calif.) two seasons before transferring to Paraclete, which won a state Division 3-AA Bowl title in 2016.
