Texas girls basketball players having been putting up some solid numbers all season. MaxPreps breaks down the top five athletes in the state and where they rank nationally in major statistical categories.
Points Per GamesAlexis Morris, Sr., Legacy Christian Academy (Beaumont), No. 11Morris has been a consistent scorer all season. She's averaging 31.5 points per game, up from 31.3 four weeks ago. The senior has scored 21 or more points in 26 of her team's 28 games.
Chasity Patterson, Sr., North Shore (Houston), No. 26Patterson is putting in 28.8 points per game. She has just three games under 20 points this season and five games of 40 or more points.
Mystique Womack, So., Marlin – No. 36In her first year playing varsity basketball, Womack and sprung onto the scene. The sophomore is putting in 27.2 points per game. She's also tallying 5.9 rebounds. 5.4 steals and 4.6 assists.
Carrie Johnson, Fr., Ben Bolt, No. 40Johnson is leading all freshmen in scoring at 26.9 points per game. The point guard has just two games under 18 points and is coming off a career-high 40 points on Feb. 7.
Alexus Jones, Sr., Grace Prep (Arlington), No. 44Jones is putting up gaudy stats this season: 26.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.9 steals and 4.2 assists. She's averaged 32.4 points in her last five games.
Rebounds Per GameStephani Hernandez, Sr., Ben Bolt, No. 19Hernandez is pulling down 16.8 rebounds (eight on the offensive glass) per game this season. She has 15 or more in 15 games, including 24 in her most recent contest.
Ariana Taylor, Jr., Wheatley (Houston), No. 48Taylor, who is averaging 15 rebounds per game, has 23 double-doubles this season. Remarkably, she has registered double-doubles in 18 straight games.
Sydnee Wynn, Sr., Eustace, No. 50Wynn is sitting at 19 points and 14.9 rebounds per outing this year. There are only two games her senior season where she hasn't pulled down double digits in boards.

T'Aira Boyance, So., Cristo Rey Jesuit (Houston), No. 46Boyance, who is at 6.9 steals per contest, registered her second double-double of the season on Jan. 24.
Jada Freeland, So., Deweyville, No. 55Freeland is coming off her best game of the season with 14 points, 13 steals and six rebounds in a win on Feb. 3.
Jamion Guilford, Jr., Methodist Children's Home (Waco), No. 76Guilford has been consistent all season with a 6.3 assist average. Her biggest game came on Dec. 6 when she had 21 points and 15 steals.
