The Thanksgiving weekend edition of the MaxPreps Top 10 Games of the Week is a smorgasbord of delicious high school football matchups – all of which have championship implications.
This week's preview starts out east, where traditional Turkey Day rivals New Canaan and Darien butt heads in Connecticut. The winner earns the outright championship of the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
Among six Xcellent 25 teams included in this week's preview, the highest-rated team is No. 2 Centennial (Corona, Calif.). The Huskies must get past a talented Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) squad to set make a No. 1-versus-No. 2 showdown against St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) possible in next weekend's Pac-5 Division championship game.
