25 football rankings presented by the Army National Guard.While high school football in most of the regions of the nation is coming to an end, there was still some movement at the top of at least one region in the MaxPreps regional football computer rankings.
St. Joseph's Prep returned to the No. 1 spot in the northeast region, a ranking it held for most of the season, after defeating Central Catholic for the Class AAAAAA state championship.
There are still state championships to be contested in North Carolina, South Carolina, California and Texas.
The rest of the No. 1 rankings did not change with DeSoto No. 1 in the southwest, IMG Academy No. 1 in the south, Bishop Gorman No. 1 in the west and Cass Tech No. 1 in the midwest.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country is broken down into five regions:
West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska and Montana.
Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma,and Texas.
Midwest: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
South: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
