The Tigers have a 40-game win streak.
Grace Brethren (Simi Valley, Calif.) and Cardinal Ritter College Prep (St. Louis) continue to bounce back and forth between the No. 1 and 2 spots in the National Small Schools Football Rankings.
Grace Brethren was No. 1 three weeks ago while Cardinal Ritter took the top spot the following week. Last week Grace Brethren returned to No. 1, but this week Cardinal Ritter is back on top after a lopside win.
Most impressive win: McClymonds 43, Skyline (Oakland) 0. McClymonds has won 11 straight Oakland Athletic League games by shutout including the recent blanking of Skyline.
Game of the Week: Lena-Winslow 46, Forreston 14. In a battle between the top two Class 1A teams in Illinois, No. 1-ranked Lena-Winslow had little trouble with No. 2 Forreston, which was the defending Class 1A state champion.
Game to watch: Coldwater vs. Anna. This game should provide Coldwater its toughest test of the season as Anna was previously ranked in the Small Schools Top 25. Anna is 6-1 with the only loss coming against perennial powerhouse Marion Local.
Best individual performance: Thaddius Franklin, Chaminade-Madonna. Franklin had his best game of the season with 267 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 43-7 win over Pahokee.
Dropped Out: No. 12 Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.), No. 19 Bishop Verot (Fort Myers, Fla.), No. 23 Newton (Texas).
The Small Schools Top 25 is open to schools that generally play in enrollment divisions with less than 1,000 students. Some California schools with under 1,000 students that play in competition-based playoff divisions that mostly include large enrollment schools (such as Sierra Canyon and Grace Brethren) are also included. Teams are ranked based on their MaxPreps computer ranking, which is listed along with their current record.
