Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, Calif.) extended its winning streak to 13 games with a 37-14 victory over
Westminster (Calif.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Luke Napolitano touchdown pass to
Connor Sage in the first quarter, the Sea Kings led 20-0 at the half.
Corona del Mar grew its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. CM scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Cole Martin.
The Newport Beach school had given up an average of 8.1 points prior to the contest.
The defeat comes as a step back for Westminster, who notched a 21-14 victory over Woodbridge in its previous outing. The loss broke Westminster's two-game winning streak.
