Video: Shaquem Griffin high school highlightsSee the combine star get after it at Lakewood High School in Florida.Among the big winners over the weekend at the NFL combine in Indianapolis was UCF linebacker
Shaquem Griffin, who had his left hand amputated when he was four years old.
Griffin, who was measured at 6-foot-1 and 227 pounds, ran a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash (the best time for a linebacker in over a decade) and bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times while using a prosthetic hand.
His performance at the combine backed up his production as a senior at UCF, where he recorded 74 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks for the unbeaten Golden Knights.
Griffin starred at safety in high school at
Lakewood (St. Petersburg, Fla.) alongside twin brother Shaquill, who started at cornerback as a rookie for the Seattle Seahawks last fall.
