The high school football season came to a close in Pennsylvania last weekend,
Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh) was among the victors, beating St. Joseph's Prep 35-17 in the PIAA Class 6A final at Hersheypark Stadium in Hersey. That win helped propel the Blue Devils to the No. 1 ranking in the final MaxPreps Pennsylvania Top 25.

In the championship game,
Alex Tecza led the way with 26 carries for 86 yards, five catches for 45 yards and three total touchdowns. Senior quarterback
Joey Daniels completed 8-of-16 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns strikes.
Defensively, the Blue Devils were anchored by two interceptions from defensive back
Matt Wertz. They held three time defending state champions, St. Joseph's Prep, to 136 rushing yards on 41 attempts.
Mt. Lebanon was dominant on both sides of the ball all season long, averaging 38.8 points per contest and outscoring their opponents by an average of 27.3 points.
