After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lamar Christian, the Laurel Christian Lions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took down Sylva Bay Academy 36-22. That's another feather in the cap for Laurel Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Reese Shumock and Lily Hatcher certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Shumock scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds, while Hatcher scored 7 points.
Laurel Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Sylva Bay Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Laurel Christian will head out on the road to face off against Ben's Ford Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sylva Bay Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Discovery Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
