Kenwood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Northeast Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kenwood will be strutting in after a win while the Eagles will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kenwood beat the Vikings 56-51. 56 seems to be a good number for Kenwood as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Cam?ron Dowell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Keyondre Moving, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Northeast pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The matchup between them and Clarksville wasn't particularly close, with Northeast falling 70-56. Northeast was down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Kenwood pushed their record up to 9-8 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Kenwood came up short against the Eagles in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 72-65. Can Kenwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
