The Indio Rajahs can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Banning as Indio made off with a 77-54 win. Winning may never get old, but Indio sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indio to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Gonzalez, who scored 18 points. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Thomas, who scored 15 points.
Banning lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Riley Aguilar, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Junior Dunahoo, who scored 13 points.
Indio has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Banning, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Indio will be playing at home against Desert Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Desert Hot Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1199th, while Indio is ranked 496th). As for Banning, they will head out on the road to challenge Coachella Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coachella Valley will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
