Wildwood won the last time they faced Pleasantville and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Greyhounds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted against the Greyhounds since May 9, 2017.

The win made it two in a row for Wildwood and bumps their season record up to 3-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Pleasantville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wildwood will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wildwood Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Pleasantville, they will take on Bridgeton at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something the Greyhounds will no doubt try to take advantage of.
