After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morton, the Nanih Waiya Warriors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They snuck past Lamar with a 46-40 victory.
Lamar's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Salone Elliott, who scored 12 points. Cooper Gordy was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Nanih Waiya is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Lamar, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
