Dwyer is 1-6 against Wellington since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will welcome the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Dwyer needed a bit of extra time to put away Palm Beach Central. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Broncos 5-4. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Haylee Taylor made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wellington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Seminole Ridge with a sharp 10-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Wolverines have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Dwyer hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Wellington struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Dwyer couldn't quite finish off Wellington in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 10-8. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
