The Compton Tarbabes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 91-68 walloping at the hands of Jordan. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (66), Compton still had to take the loss.
Jashon Finley and Oshon Mitchell certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Finley scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Mitchell dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. Finley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Goodlow, who scored nine points.
Compton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Jordan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Compton will face off against Rancho Dominguez at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jordan, they will head out on the road to take on Cabrillo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Cabrillo is ranked 411th, while Jordan is ranked 425th).
