After flying high against East Valley last Friday, Freeman came back down to earth. The Scotties took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rogers Pirates on Friday. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaetyn Cole, who picked up 122 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Cole was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 58 yards. Logan Schultz handled things on the ground, rushing for 93 yards.
Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rogers, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
Freeman and Rogers will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Scotties are set to take on their familiar foe Northwest Christian School at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rogers will square off against rival Clarkston at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
