The Pine Prairie Panthers will challenge the Anacoco Indians at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Pine Prairie's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7  runs per game  this season, so Anacoco's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Pine Prairie made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Buckeye, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Pine Prairie was the clear victor by  a  12-3 margin over Buckeye on Thursday. Considering Pine Prairie has won 14 matchups by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kynnedi Ware made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits. She has been consistent  for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run.
 In other batting news, Pine Prairie got a  massive  performance out of  Sydney Fontenot, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  Fontenot has posted since back in March of 2024.  Josie Vidrine was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  triple.
 Pine Prairie  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters  in five consecutive  games.
Meanwhile,  Anacoco unfortunately witnessed the end of their  14-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Grace Christian by a score of  3-1. The Indians were red-hot at the plate heading into the  contest (they scored no less than ten  runs in the three  matchups prior), but the Warriors' pitcher proved too tough.
  Oni Duran was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with one  home run.
 Pine Prairie pushed their record up to 25-3 with the  victory, which was their 13th straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Anacoco, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Monday. Pine Prairie hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.5  home runs per game. However, it's not like Anacoco struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 0.6  home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
 Pine Prairie came out on top in a nail-biter against Anacoco in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024, sneaking past  1-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success,  or do  the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
