Last Friday, Eastern Alamance didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cedar Ridge, but they still walked away with a 39-35 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eastern Alamance.
Eastern Alamance relied on the efforts of Ayanna Garner, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Makayla Thompson, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Hester, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Graham suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 59-17 loss at the hands of Southeast Alamance. Graham was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.
The win got Eastern Alamance back to even at 7-7. As for Graham, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Eastern Alamance against Graham in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 80-22 victory. With Eastern Alamance ahead 44-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
