Basketball Recap: Evadale Piles Up the Points Against Sabine Pass

Evadale won the last time they faced Sabine Pass and things went their way on Friday too. The Evadale Rebels blew past the Sabine Pass Sharks 90-33. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 26 points or more this season.

Evadale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaden Gravis, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Gravis is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Warren Brewer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Evadale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.

Sabine Pass' loss came despite strong showings from Cale Kile and Devin Roberts. Kile posted five points, while Roberts had ten points.

Evadale is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Sabine Pass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evadale will square off against Big Sandy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sabine Pass, they will challenge Deweyville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
