After a string of four wins, the Pittsburg Pirates's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty. Pittsburg has not had much luck with Liberty recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Pittsburg still got an impressive performance from Paulance Quarles, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Quarles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Collins, who scored 14 points.
Pittsburg's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.
Pittsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 87-54 victory vs. Antioch on the 9th. Liberty has also already played their next contest, a 60-25 victory against Heritage on the 9th.
