Northwood Temple Academy got a massive performance out of KADEN BURNS, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. BURNS is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Eli Wood was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
BURNS wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Northwood Temple Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, everything went Freedom Christian Academy's way against The O'Neal School on Friday as Freedom Christian Academy made off with a 17-1 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.
Andrew Corney and Eli Corney made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Corney struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Eli struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Corney scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Eli scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, Andrew posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Graysen Stafford, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Trent Oliver also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Freedom Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.4 runs. Northwood Temple Academy now has a winning record of 3-2.
