This season hasn't been kind to the Richland Center Hornets, who are still winless after their 15th match. They took a  53-36 bruising from River Valley on Thursday. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Richland Center in their matchups with River Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
 River Valley found their leader in underclassman  Brooklyn Stokes, who  scored 17 points along with eight  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Stokes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lexi Deviney, who  scored 12 points.
 Richland Center's loss was  their fifth straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 0-15. As for River Valley, their win  ended a six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-12.
 Richland Center will  face off against Platteville at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Platteville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richland Center in Wisconsin (Platteville is ranked 140th, while Richland Center is ranked 445th). As for River Valley, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Potosi/Cassville at 7:30  p.m. Potosi/Cassville has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16.
