While Calexico's win against Brawley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Calexico narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Brawley 5-4. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Randy Baez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Calderon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Calexico's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Brawley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
