Rowland Hall has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the American Prep WV Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Rowland Hall focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Rowland Hall pushed their score all the way to 57, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Gunnison Valley.
Rowland Hall's defeat came about despite a quality game from Yeshi Tsering, who scored 22 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. The matchup was Tsering's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luc Dowdle, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, American Prep WV was the victim of a rough 66-45 defeat at the hands of Ogden on Friday.
North Summit's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Rowland Hall's defeat dropped theirs to 2-3.
Rowland Hall suffered a grim 78-54 defeat to American Prep WV in their previous meeting back in February. Thankfully for Rowland Hall, Adis Halaba (who shot 6-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
