The Jefferson Blue Jays's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cuba Wildcats at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Cuba took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.
 Jefferson will roll into the  matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one  run  on Wednesday, then bounced right back against St. Clair  on Monday. Jefferson was the clear victor by  a  13-7 margin over St. Clair.
  Annabelle Richardson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   two  hits.  In other batting news,  Cecelia Ott and  Chloe Burger did most of the damage at the plate:  Ott  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs, and a  stolen base, while  Burger  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  Burger a new career-high in  hits. Another player making a difference was  Fiona Sandbothe, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in two of her five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Cuba was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They lost  19-8 to St. James. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by  exactly 11  runs.
  Jerri Forester was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Katelynn Yates, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Even though they lost, Cuba  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. James struck out six times.
 Jefferson's win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-1. As for Cuba, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Jefferson might still be hurting after the  21-4 defeat they got from Cuba  when the teams last played  back in September of 2021. Can Jefferson avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
