The Veritas Christian Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Christ Prep Academy Patriots at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

That was a full 81% of Veritas Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nicole Gaspers was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Christ Prep Academy ended up a good deal behind Shawnee Mission North on Tuesday and lost 44-30.
Veritas Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Christ Prep Academy, they bumped their record down to 6-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Veritas Christian suffered a grim 46-20 defeat to Christ Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Thankfully for Veritas Christian, Ashlynn Engel (who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
