The North Miami Warriors will head out to take on the Manchester Squires at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. North Miami will be strutting in after a win while Manchester will be coming in after a defeat.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when North Miami and Triton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Warriors blew past the Trojans 21-1. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ashley Sumpter-Music made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, North Miami let Jordyn Hackworth and Addison Tinney run wild. Hackworth got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Tinney got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. That's the most runs Tinney has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Victoria Masters, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
North Miami was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Triton only posted a batting average of .056.
Meanwhile, Manchester unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Rochester, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Squires have suffered since April 16th.
Manchester's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for North Miami, their record is now 7-2.
Manchester's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. North Miami has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Manchester, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will North Miami keep running through batters, or will the Squires buck the trend?
North Miami came out on top in a nail-biter against Manchester in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
