Mo Hussein Goes Supernova in Deer Trail Victory
Starting off the list is Deer Trail's Mo Hussein, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hussein made 13 total tackles and defended three passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Miami-Yoder's probably not too fond of Hussein given he always seems to get the better of them. Hussein picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss) the last time he and the Buffaloes duked it out back in October of 2023.

Junior Diaz Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Junior Diaz was instrumental in extending Hanover's winning streak to four on Friday. Diaz made a major impact, rushing for 181 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (110.2). He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Diaz might have his next game, a road matchup with Bethune, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Diaz saw the Bobcats), he rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 41 receiving yards and a touchdown.
