The East Iberville Tigers will square off against the False River Gators at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in East Iberville's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while False River has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
It was a proper cat-fight when East Iberville challenged McKinley on Thursday. Everything went East Iberville's way against McKinley as East Iberville made off with a 12-6 victory. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.
Cort Willis was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, East Iberville got a massive performance out of Colton Melancon, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave Melancon a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Cushenberry, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Cruz Pourciau was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Matthew Gradfeo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
East Iberville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for False River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal.
