The La Crosse Central Riverhawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Onalaska Hilltoppers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. La Crosse Central will be strutting in after a  victory while Onalaska will be coming in after a  defeat.
La Crosse Central took  a  three-set  loss the last time they faced off against Tomah, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Riverhawks won by a  set and slipped past the Timberwolves  3-2.
 La Crosse Central was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 26-24,  16-14.

  Celia Christopherson had a dynamite game,  getting 19  digs and two  aces. What's more,  she racked up eight  assists, the most she's  had since back in August.
Meanwhile,  after a string of six wins, Onalaska's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Verona.
 Despite the  defeat, Onalaska saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Isabella Eckstein  had 11 assists and five  digs.
 Onalaska's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for La Crosse Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
 La Crosse Central was able to grind out a solid  victory over Onalaska in their previous meeting  on September 2nd, winning  3-1. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was  the Hilltoppers'  Zayda Lawrence, who  had 24  digs and three  aces. Now that she's  got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Riverhawks still be able to contain  Lawrence? There's only one way to find out.
