On Friday, Washington strolled past Pasquotank County with points to spare, taking the game 47-30.
Among those leading the charge was Breanna Perry, who scored 22 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Washington's points. Triniti Burke was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anylah Bowe, who dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and 10 blocks. Bowe is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ka?leigha Person, who scored 11 points.
The victory got Washington back to even at 1-1. As for Pasquotank County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will square off against South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pasquotank County, they will head out on the road to face off against Gates County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
