The West Florence Knights can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Cardinal Newman by a score of 49-41.
When it comes to explaining why Cardinal Newman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evan Carter. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Carter scored a full 31.7% of Cardinal Newman's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Peeples , who scored 12 points.
West Florence's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Cardinal Newman, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
West Florence will head out on the road to face off against A.C. Flora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in A.C. Flora's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Cardinal Newman, they will square off against Fayetteville Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Fayetteville Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
