It's playoff time, and Berkeley Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Community School of Naples Seahawks on Saturday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Carson Binder was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. George Cook also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Berkeley Prep lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their home run total in three consecutive contests.

Berkeley Prep is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Community School of Naples, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season.

Berkeley Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Tampa Catholic on the 8th. Community School of Naples does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
