Meanwhile, Newton County Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sylva Bay Academy 62-32 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Newton County Academy has managed all season.
Laurel Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Newton County Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
