The American Fork Cavemen will venture away from home to challenge the Lehi Pioneers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Fork's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Lehi's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lehi will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: American Fork extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Cavemen came out on top against Lone Peak by a score of 8-3. Eight seems to be a good number for the Cavemen as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Max Miller tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, CJ Mascaro and Cache Poulson did most of the damage at the plate: Mascaro scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Poulson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of River Litke, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
American Fork kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Lehi's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Westlake by a score of 5-3. Pioneers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Thunder since on Friday.
Cooper Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
American Fork's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Lehi, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. American Fork has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. However, it's not like Lehi struggles in that department as they've averaged .513. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
American Fork couldn't quite finish off Lehi when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Cavemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
