Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cocoa Beach Minutemen. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cocoa Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayesiah Carr led the charge by going 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Those eight boards gave Carr a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Louis, who posted 14 points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cocoa Beach, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Heritage will face off against Celebration at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cocoa Beach, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-55 loss against Satellite on the 12th.
