Thomas Sumter Academy has struggled against the Crusaders recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Northside Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Triton Railey out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Railey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sullie Crider, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Thomas Sumter Academy dropped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northside Christian Academy, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
Thomas Sumter Academy will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangeburg Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Generals in South Carolina (the Indians are ranked 143rd, while the Generals are ranked 318th). As for Northside Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
