It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The Porter Spartans ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 27-21 victory over Barbers Hill. The win was familiar territory for Porter who now have three in a row.
Barbers Hill's loss came despite strong showings from Kody Fuentes and Cooper Lucas. Fuentes threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns, while Lucas picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Porter is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Barbers Hill, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
