After two games on the road, E.D. White is heading back home. They will take on the Teurlings Catholic Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
With a playoff game on the line, E.D. White rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past De La Salle with a 31-27 victory. Given E.D. White's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while De La Salle is ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
E.D. White can attribute much of their success to Paxton Lafont, who picked up 169 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Teurlings Catholic waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They slipped by Madison Prep Academy 31-30.
E.D. White's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Teurlings Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
