Volleyball Recap: Miami Trace Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Miami Trace won the last time they faced Wilmington, and Keionnie Ackley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Hurricane 3-2 on Monday with plenty of help from Ackley, who had 43 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Miami Trace had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 24-26, 25-15, 25-10, 15-7.

Miami Trace has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Wilmington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
