It was a good run, but the Benton Harbor Tigers finally witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 58-52 to the River Rouge Panthers. That's the fewest points the Tigers have scored all season.
The defeat dropped Benton Harbor's record to 17-2. The win -- their 14th in a row -- raised River Rouge's record to 17-1.
Benton Harbor will take on Brandywine on Tuesday at home. Benton Harbor has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. As for River Rouge, they will face off against Romulus on Saturday. River Rouge won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
